Ether ETFs Attracted $2.6 Billion in Net Inflows in December.

Spot ether exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have attracted $2.6 billion in net inflows over the month of December, with the funds seemingly starting to gain traction against the more dominant spot bitcoin ETFs.

Data from Farside Investors shows that the momentum for ether ETFs built over eight straight weeks of net inflows, including a record-breaking week in late November where inflows topped $2.2 billion.

Despite these significant inflows, ether ETFs remain significantly smaller than their BTC counterparts, which have seen over $35 billion in net inflows over the past year..

Among ether ETFs, BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) emerged as the leader, attracting more than $3.5 billion inflows, which partly offset the substantial $3.6 billion outflows from Grayscale’s Ethereum Trust (ETHE).

Montenegro Extradites Terraform Labs Co-Founder Do Kwon to U.S.

The co-founder of Terraform Labs, Do Kwon, a central figure in the multibillion-dollar collapse of the Terra ecosystem, has been extradited to the United States from Montenegro.

The extradition, confirmed by Montenegro’s Ministry of Justice, concludes months of complex legal battles in the country, during which Kwon faced competing requests for extradition from both the United States and South Korea.

Kwon is set to face criminal charges in the U.S., including conspiracy to commit fraud related to securities transactions, money laundering, and electronic fraud. The charges stem from his role in the collapse of the Terra ecosystem, which was the largest destruction of wealth in crypto’s history in just three days.

According to Montenegro’s Ministry of Justice, the decision to extradite was based on multiple factors, including the gravity of the alleged crimes, the jurisdiction where the offenses took place, and the sequence in which extradition requests were filed.
