Japanese publicly-traded company Metaplanet has pivoted towards a bitcoin-centric investment strategy and is now sitting on an unrealized gain of around $36 million (5.46 billion yen) on its 1,761 BTC holdings.
Strategy, which recently rebranded from MicroStrategy, has announced a new $742.4 million bitcoin purchase, bringing its total BTC stash to 478,740 bitcoin purchased at an average price of $97,255 per coin.
Cryptocurrency asset manager Grayscale has filed to launch a spot exchange-traded fund (ETF) offering exposure to Cardano. NYSE Arca, a subsidiary of the New York Stock Exchange, submitted the proposal to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
